Sports drinks have become main-stream and there is a dizzying array of choices. Last year alone, more than$4 billion worth of sports drinks were sold. Are athletes really drinking that many sports drinks? Are there really that many athletes out there? Or is it rather that people are consuming sports drinks who really don't require more carbs or electrolytes?
